Darlene has been in Real Estate since 1972. She was a Top Sales Agent for Eagar & Co. Real Estate for 15 years and was a Top Sales Agent for Chapman Richards & Associates before becoming a Real Estate Broker and starting her own brokerage, Distinctive Properties, along with DeAnna Dipo and Debbie Dahmen. She is currently an Associate Broker with Windermere Real Estate. Darlene started the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS – National Association of Realtors) Chapter in Utah and became President of the Chapter in 1982. In 1984, Darlene was awarded the “CRS of the Year” from the Utah CRS Chapter.
Darlene has been in the “Honor Society” and the “Million Dollar Club”, and received the “Distinguished Service Award” and “Hall of Fame Award” from the Salt Lake Board of Realtors. She served on the Board of Directors from 1984 to 1986 for the Salt Lake Board of Realtors.
Darlene served as a board member on “The Community & Economic Development Advisory Council” for the Salt Lake County from 2004 to 2009. In 1987, Darlene received the “President Award” from the Salt Lake Board of Realtors. In 1991, Darlene received the “Woman of the Year” by SLC chapter Women’s Council of Realtors WCR. In 2009, Darlene received the “Broker Manager of the Year” by the Salt Lake Board of Realtors. In 2012, Darlene received the "Small Business Woman of the Year Award" from the Greater Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce.
Darlene is presently serving on the “Professional Standard Committee” for the Salt Lake Board of Realtor, she is also currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce. Darlene is a member of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
